Electronic Room Correction

Digital signal processing allows us to make even greater refinements in the accuracy of the audio reproduction. Through proper use of Equalizers, Real Time Analyzers and other tools, we can further correct acoustic problems with the room, speakers or general setup of the system. Coupling these tools with the right components in a system allows for unbelievable flexibility in design, and an experience that completely involves the audience.

These graphics show how room correction tools are used. First the Real Time Analyzer generates an audio signal that is inserted into the system. Even the best-designed rooms, using the best components cause acoustic problems that are subtle but important. The sonic performance of the room/system is then picked up by the microphone and sent back to the Real Time Analyzer. This analyzer gives us a current picture of the sonic characteristics of the room/system. Using equalization and processing, the sonic quality of the experience is refined to match our models that we know work. The result is a breathtaking experience regardless of less than ideal conditions.
